Arsenal fans react as Mislintat reportedly plots bid to sign Mavropanos on permanent deal
Arsenal fans have taken to social media following reports in Germany that VfB Stuttgart are plotting a permanent deal for Greek defender Konstantinos Mavropanos, who has impressed for the Bundesliga side this season.
, sporting director and former Arsenal scout Sven Mislintat is warming to the prospect of signing the 23-year-old centre back beyond this season after Mavropanos joined the German side in the summer on loan, with the centre-back flourishing for the Bundesliga club this campaign.

Mavropanos is one of many Arsenal players out on loan this season and there are whispers that, despite his impressive form, the defender could leave the club this summer in an attempt to raise funds for new recruitments, and for some supporters on social media, they were hoping Mikel Arteta keeps the centre-back when he returns this off-season.
Here’s what some Arsenal fans had to say about this latest transfer update surrounding Mavropanos on Twitter…

If we sell him we should insert a buy back clause. I do think that he has the potential to be a really good CB

€100 million and we’ll start negotiations

He's good why are we getting rid..

We’ll probably sell Mavropanos but keep a Rob Holding. We’ll probably sell a Joe Willock but sign permanently Ceballos. We’ll probably sell Guendouzi but give an extension to Mohamed El Neny. But let’s “trust the process”

Mislintat was the scout who brought Mavropanos to Arsenal in the first place, with the German scout signing the youngster from PAS Giannina in the January transfer window of 2018.
