spent last season out onꦰ loan too. He was part of the Atletico Madrid outfit that 🃏won the La Liga title and might have hoped to win an Arsenal reprieve.

That hasn’t been the case though. The arrival of Abert Sambi Lokonga has forced him back down the pecking order﷽ at the Emirates Stadium.

Last season Torreira managed 19 appearances in Dieg💯o Simeone’s team. He did a job when called upon, but he did struggle to hold down a regular place in the team.

Serie A is a leagu🅺e where he has proved himself before. He played 74 times for Sampdoria before checking in at Arsenal and 🐓proved himself at the club.

Torreira has played 31 times for his country but may well have played his last g🅘ame in the red and white of Arsenal.

In total, the little midfield maestro has made 8💯9 appe♊arances for the Gunners, scoring four goals and claiming six assists.

What have the Arsenal fans had to say about Torreira departing?

It’s fair to say that plenty are really unhappy to see him leave the club. Despite the fact he’s not played for Arsenal for quite some time, it seems as though some woul𒉰d have welcomed him back into the squad.

Arteta’s opinion is the one that counts though. He hasn’t deemed him of the required quality to make his squad and he’s be꧋en forced to find first-team football elsewhere.
