Arsenal fans react as Jonathan David’s agent comments on client’s future
Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Genk striker Jonathan David this summer but his agent has been quoted as saying that the striker wants to play in Germany – and Gunners fans have responded on Twitter.
David, 20, has been in stunning form for Genk this season – having a hand in 33 goals during his 40 league and cup appearances. Indeed, the Canada international has scored 23 goals and creating 10 more.
that Arsenal are willing to spend £17.5million to sign the striker. But given that David has only just turned 20, it is believed that a move to Germany or France would be preferred in order to further his career.
But Arsenal may be unlikely to sign wonderkid David and that is because his agent Mavromaras has claimed that the striker wants to play in the Bundesliga – with perhaps Erling Haaland showing Germany is the way to go for highly-rated forwards.

“Jonathan is now ready for the next step. He wants to play in the Bundesliga,” “Realistically, Jonathan is only playing his first full season as a professional. His leaps in development are enormous.”
Arsenal have options in the final third, but doubts surrounding Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s future remain. His contract ends in 2021, and he has been linked with a move to the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, Barcelona and PSG.
Arsenal supporters have reacted on Twitter to Mavromaras’ comments on the future of young striker David, and some are seemingly unfussed that he looks unlikely to be on his way to north London.
