Arsenal fans react as Henrikh Mkhitaryan extends Roma stay
It has been confirmed on Roma’s that Arsenal attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan will stay with the Serie A outfit.
The Armenian international has agreed to stay at the club until the end of the 2019/20 campaign; with a preliminary agreement in place for next season.
Mkhitaryan has played 19 times for Roma since checking in during September 2019. His Arsenal contract will expire in the summer of 2021 and his days at the Emirates Stadium now look numbered.
He arrived as part of the deal which took Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United in 2018, with things not really working out for the midfielder in north London.

With Mikel Arteta now in the hot seat it would seem he is keen to get some players out to aid his own recruitment drive.
Mkhitaryan is paid £180,000-a-week by the Gunners and with European football not looking likely next season some sacrifices may need to be made.
Arsenal may look to blood more youngsters next season. Eddie Nketiah and Bukayo Saka are just two players who are thriving under Arteta.
Following the agreement of his stay at Roma, Mkhitaryan took to Twitter to speak of his delight at getting the deal done.
Arsenal fans were keen to wish the player well, with it now almost certain that he has played his last game for the club.
Here is a selection of tweets from the Gunners faithful in response to Mkhitaryan.
