Arsenal fans react as club reportedly set to table £170k-a-week offer
Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic and are ready to offer the Serbian striker a whopping £170,000 a week to choose north London as his new home – and Gunners fans have reacted on Twitter.
Jovic, 22, could be about to leave Real Madrid this summer after a very difficult first season under Zinedine Zidane as Karim Benzema’s understudy. The Serbian powerhouse has netted just two goals in 24 appearances.
That is despite his enormous move from Eintracht Frankfurt, where he netted 36 goals in 75 games while on loan at the German club prior to joining Real Madrid. A loan deal away from Madrid had been touted.
But that Arsenal could table as much as £170,000 a week to tempt Jovic into a move to The Emirates in the coming months. But Jovic is hesitating over a move to Arsenal.
That is because he prefers the idea of a two-year loan to AC Milan, as Ivan Gazidis looks to trump the Gunners in the hotly-contested pursuit of Jovic. It would see Jovic remain on the books at Real.
