Arsenal fans react as club reportedly battling Wolves and Leeds for Reading star Olise

Arsenal are one of three Premier League clubs interested in raiding Championship high-flyers Reading for French teenager Michael Olise before Friday, but face competition from Leeds and Wolves – and Gunners fans have reacted on Twitter.

Olise, 18, has already broken into the Reading side and established himself as a regular. The two-time France Under-18 international has already played 32 times for the Championship club’s first team – but this season he has gone up a level.

Indeed, before this season, Olise had clocked up 23 Championship appearances but failed to score and only supplied one assist. In the four second-tier league games this season, he has had a hand in three goals – scoring once and creating two more.

That much-improved end product has caught the attention of Premier League clubs. on Wednesday that Arsenal, Wolves and Leeds were all keen on Olise, who could leave the Royals by Friday’s 5pm deadline.

Then, that of the three aforementioned clubs, two had seen bids of more than £5million rejected for Elise – who can play anywhere in midfield and attack from both flanks.

Arsenal supporters reacted to the reported news that their club are interested in signing Olise and that they could have been one of the two clubs to have made an offer – and many believe he would be a good signing for Mikel Arteta’s side.
