Arsenal fans react as club linked with Lyon striker Moussa Dembele

Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that The Gunners will prioritise signing Lyon striker Moussa Dembele if one of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyand or Alexandre Lacazette leave.

23-year-old Dembele has cropped up on Arsenal’s shortlist as he continues to regularly find the back of the net for Lyon – netting 30 times in 71 games for the French side.

The former Fulham ace has become renowned as one of Europe’s best strikers after scoring more than 50 goals in less than 100 games for Celtic, under Brendan Rodgers. He then moved to Lyon, where he has continued scoring goal after goal.

Now, Arsenal have identified the striker as a main priority – either in the January window or next summer – as they fear they could lose either Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or Alexandre Lacazette, and they will certainly need replacing.

Aubameyang has a contract until the summer of 2021, while Lacazette has also been linked with a move and it remains to be seen if they will sign new deals to end speculation over their future. Now, Dembele is being considered in case.

Arsenal supporters have taken to Twitter after hearing the reported news that their club could look to bring Dembele to north London, three years after leaving the capital following his move from Fulham to Celtic.
