Arsenal fans react as Alex Runarsson reportedly allowed to leave on loan
Alex Runarsson will be reportedly allowed to leave Arsenal on loan this month after struggling in his first few months with The Gunners following his summer arrival – and Arsenal supporters have responded on Twitter to the reported news.
Runarsson, 25, joined Arsenal for £1.5million from French side Dijon and has since played five times for the Gunners – replacing Emi Martinez as the club’s second-choice goalkeeper following the Argentine’s move to Aston Villa.
In those five appearances, Iceland international Runarsson has conceded seven goals in his five games, keeping two clean sheets. His last outing saw Arsenal knocked out of the Carabao Cup, with Runarsson making numerous mistakes.

that Arsenal are willing to sanction the exit of Runarsson, identifying that he needs a loan move to get some game time and restore his confidence. Championship and European sides are interested in his signature.
However, Arsenal will only allow him to go if they can bring in a replacement – after Matt Macey left for Hibernian. But if Arsenal sign a replacement, Runarsson will return from a potential loan to find he may be third choice.
Arsenal fans reacted on Twitter to the reports regarding £40,000-a-week () goalkeeper Runarsson, and many are willing to wave goodbye to the summer signing following his poor start to life in North London.
I feel awful for the lad. Really, really sorry for him. I appreciate it’s his job but he really shouldn’t of been signed in the first place.

Kim Kallstrom genuinely a much better signing than this guy has been.

If this is true. I love how Arteta works tbh. He knows he's not perfect, he'll make mistakes and he'll look to rectify as soon as he can. Brilliant.

We should do exact same thing to Willian

Good, loan him out until his contract expire

Should have already been done at the start of the window (like the Kolasinac was).
