Some Arsenal fans now think ‘incredible’ 23-year-old could now follow Odegaard to the Emirates

Arsenal fans rejoiced on Friday morning as the Gunners confirmed the signing of Martin Odegaard.

The Norway captain, who spent the second half of last season on loan at the Emirates, has joined Arsenal permanently.

According to , the Gunners paid Real Madrid £30million for the 22-year-old’s services.

Odegaard follows Ben White, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares in joining the north Londoners.

And Aaron Ramsdale is reportedly closing in on a move to Arsenal too.

Odegaard was widely tipped to get shirt number 11 at the Emirates, but they’ve given him number 8.

Arsenal fans had been speculating that Odegaard would get 8 and Houssem Aouar, another reported target, would get 11.

The Lyon ace, who Pep Guardiola has called “incredible”, has been linked with Arsenal for a long time.

And some Gunners supporters are still confident Aouar could be through the door and sporting number 11.
