Arsenal fans left perplexed by the £15m decision Andrea Berta just made, ‘make it make sense…’
Arsenal fans have been reacting across social media after the club confirmed the surprise signing of Brentford midfielder Christian Norgaard.
Christian Norgaard is Arsenal’s third signing of the summer, with Arsenal already signing Martin Zubimendi and Kepa Arrizabalaga.
TBR Football understands that Arsenal will be paying Brentford £15m, including add-ons for his services.
The move for Norgaard came as a surprise choice, especially with Andrea Berta already signing Zubimendi. However, the departures of several experienced midfielders, including Thomas Partey and Jorginho, left a void at Arsenal which needed to be filled.

Arsenal fans react as club announces Christian Norgaard signing
The announcement of Norgaard has seen a mixed reaction from Arsenal fans. Many supporters have expressed their delight over the signing, calling it a smart piece of business considering the experience he will bring.
A third said: “An experienced & Premier League proven player coming in to replace Jorginho & bolster our squad for just £9m. Might not be a spectacular one, but it’s a solid signing nonetheless! Welcome to the club Christian.”
One more compared the signing of Norgaard to Liverpool signing Endo: “This is actually a decent signing. Much like what Liverpool did with Endo. Might not be a big name, but brings in wealth of experience.”
“Just a very good, very sensible signing”, yet another stated.
However, several fans expressed their frustration over the club for not closing a deal for Viktor Gyokeres yet and for targeting Noni Madueke when other options are available.
Another said: “We still need a striker”
One more Arsenal fan commented: “No one cares. Sign Gyokeres.”
A fourth minced no words, telling Arsenal not to sign the Chelsea star: “Do not sign Madueke”
“They are destroying the team and the process, failed to sign Isak and will fail to sign Rodrygo, but as long as their teams in America are doing fine they won’t care about Arsenal”, said another.
Arsenal’s transfer business is far from over
Arsenal’s transfer business is far from over, with the club set to make at least two more signings before the transfer window shuts.
This includes a new striker and a new wide attacker. The Gunners have been strongly linked with Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko, with the latest reports suggesting that Gyokeres is on the verge of signing for Arsenal.
In terms of a new wide attacker, Mikel Arteta’s dream signing is Rodrygo, and as per reports, Arsenal have even held talks with Rodrygo’s agents. However, no concrete move has been made as yet, with the player expected to hold talks with Madrid regarding his future in the coming weeks.
Chelsea’s Noni Madueke has also been linked with a move to the Emirates, with a recent report stating that Arsenal have made a bid for Madueke, but the Blues reportedly want more than what the Gunners have offered.
