Arsenal fans hijack pre-season social media post to send two clear messages, ‘we don’t…’
Arsenal are currently in La Manga as part of their 2025 pre-season, but fans are much more interested in talking about two potential transfers.
The Gunners have had a fairly active summer transfer window so far, including outplaying Liverpool to secure Martin Zubimendi.
Christian Norgaard became Arsenal’s third signing of the summer earlier this week, and more names are being mooted for moves to the Emirates.
Talks over Viktor Gyokeres continue, and the player is reported to have refused to train with Sporting this week as he pushes for a move.
Elsewhere, manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed that Arsenal target Noni Madueke is leaving Chelsea, amid reports that the Gunners have struck a £50m deal for the player.
Now, fans of the North London outfit have taken to social media to share their thoughts on the potential signings of Madueke and Gyokeres.

Arsenal fans hijack post with Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres messages
As already mentioned, Arsenal have been in La Manga training this week, and the club recently shared an Instagram post of various players in action.
Bukayo Saka, William Saliba and Martin Odegaard were among those pictured, but rather than focusing on their current stars and preparation for the new season, fans flooded the comments section to send messages about Madueke and Gyokeres.
The overwhelming message from Arsenal fans is that they don’t want to sign the Chelsea winger but are much more keen for the former Coventry City man to arrive.
One fan asked: “Are you really serious with the signing of Madueke??”
A second commented: “We don’t want Madueke,” with another echoing: “WE DON’T WANT MADUEKE.”
“DON’T SIGN MADUEKE,” a fourth Arsenal fan demanded.” Another wrote: “We don’t want Madueke, bring Gyokeres.”
A sixth replied to the post: “All we want to see is Gyokeres to Arsenal,” with a seventh very clear in their message: “We don’t want Madueke, we want Gyokeres,” with another Gunners fan writing: “We want Gyokeres, not Noni.”

When does Reiss Nelson’s Arsenal contract expire?
Some eagle-eyed Arsenal fans also spotted that Reiss Nelson was among the players pictured during the pre-season photo dump.
Nelson has been on the Gunners’ books for many years but has seen his game time reduced in recent campaigns.
The 25-year-old made 15 Premier League appearances in 2023/24 under Mikel Arteta before being shipped out on loan to Fulham in the most recent campaign.
Nelson scored two and assisted one in 12 outings for Marco Silva’s side and has returned to Arsenal this summer with his contract running until the summer of 2027.
