Arsenal fans have reacted to their reported interest in winger Manor Solomon

Arsenal are being linked with a move for Shakhtar Donetsk attacker Manor Solomon – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter have responded by suggesting he would be a bad signing for them.

The reports that Mikel Arteta’s side are eyeing the 21-year-old ahead of a potential move for him in the summer when they have more transfer funds available to them.

It is claimed that the Gunners have already held preliminary discussions with the winger’s representatives, but a summer attempt to sign him is mooted.

Solomon is technical left-winger with great dribbling and flair, something he’s shown on the Champions League stage for Shakhtar and also on the international stage with Israel.

The quick wide player has five goals in 17 games across all competitions this season, with his performances catching the eye of Arsenal.

But a selection of Gunners supporters on social media don’t feel the speculation makes much sense.

Some of the fanbase are convinced they already have enough wingers in their squad.

Meanwhile, there are some who suggest Norwich City’s 24-year-old Emi Buendia is a much better target, with the Championship star heavily linked recently with a switch to the Emirates Stadium.

The recently claimed that £40million-rated right-winger Buendia is wanted by Arteta’s side.
