Arsenal fans have a lot to say about David Raya after Tottenham clash as ‘terrible’ claims made
Arsenal fans have spoken a lot about David Raya after his performance against Tottenham Hotspur in pre-season.
David Raya was lobbed from the halfway line by Pape Matar Sarr for Tottenham after wandering out of his box, in what was the only goal of the game in Hong Kong.
In a game where Viktor Gyokeres made his debut, there was little to shout about for the Gunners and more to complain about.
This is exactly what Arsenal fans did about their keeper.

Arsenal fans’ fury at David Raya against Tottenham
Gunners supporters were left disappointed with the Spaniard’s laziness in passing and travelling outside the box.
One writes: ‘Raya gonna be a problem this season’.
Another adds: ‘Terrible mistake from Raya again, this begs why we didn’t sign Joan Garcia. Probably one of the best talents available, while being the best in the world.’
‘Raya is worse than [Aaron] Ramsdale. Hopefully, Mikel will realise that soon enough,’ says one more rather harshly.
One more chimes in: ‘What was Raya thinking passing that when he can see how many Spurs players are closing in on Skelly.’
Some Arsenal fans did show sympathy for Raya, claiming that, in fact, it was actually the fault of Myles Lewis-Skelly.
‘Please stop blaming David Raya, he did his best to give the ball to Skelly, but Richarlison fouled Skelly, it should have been a free kick!’ a final notes.
Raya always has his critics – but is this justified?
Was Raya or Myles Lewis-Skelly to blame for Tottenham’s goal?
Either way, Arsenal fans are overreacting. Yes, the goal was avoidable, but these things happen, and it’s better to iron out the mistakes in pre-season.

Raya is a phenomenal shot-stopper and saved Arsenal countless times last season. He is prone to the mistake, but there aren’t many keepers out there that aren’t.
Raya will prove many of his doubters wrong this season, and Arteta will be proven right to stand by him and not purchase a shot-stopper in the summer transfer window.
