Arsenal fans discuss Houssem Aouar on Twitter after being linked with Lyon midfielder
Arsenal are reportedly admirers of Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar ahead of the summer window with Mikel Arteta likely to plan a summer revamp of his stuttering squad – and Gunners fans have discussed Aouar on Twitter.
that 21-year-old midfielder Aouar has admirers at Arsenal and is one of a number of names that could be targeted this summer by the Gunners. Arteta wants to put a stamp on his squad, and Aouar could be a part of that.
Since breaking into the Lyon side as a teenager, the France Under-21 international has now clocked up 126 appearances in all competitions. The Gunners need additions in the middle of the park, especially with Dani Ceballos set to leave in the summer.
Unai Emery failed to replace the loss of Aaron Ramsey in the summer. The Welshman was able to break forward from midfield and score goals, something which Matteo Guendouzi, Granit Xhaka and Lucas Torreira struggle to do.
Aouar, on the other hand, has had a hand in 45 goals in his 126 Lyon appearances. He has scored 22 times and created 23 more, despite being able to play as a box-to-box, holding or attacking midfielder.
Despite having a contract until the summer of 2023, Aouar has been reportedly eyed as a possible summer target for Arsenal this summer and supporters have discussed whether he would be a good signing.
