Arsenal could unleash 18-year-old ‘mix of Pires and Ljungberg’ tonight, fans should be excited – TBR View
Arsenal are in Carabao Cup action tonight against Sunderland and Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is likely to ring the changes.
Although there’s a lot at stake for Arsenal in the quarter-final clash, Arteta also has to think about the Premier League fixtures coming up.
The Gunners have three league games between Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

And ahead of the Carabao Cup clash, Arteta called several Arsenal academy players up to first-team training.
One of those was Salah Oulad M’Hand, also known as Salah-Eddine.
If Arteta rests Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka against Sunderland, then there’d be a notable gap alongside Mohamed Elneny.
Albert Sambi Lokonga is out following a positive covid test.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles, meanwhile, didn’t seem to feature in the latest training pictures.
And with Salah-Eddine making the bench against Leeds in the cup ahead of Charlie Patino, this suggests the 19-year-old could be in line for a start.
If that’s the case, Arsenal fans should be excited, as Salah-Eddine is a top talent.
Arsenal talent Salah-Eddine – the story so far
Predominantly a central midfielder, Salah progressed through the youth ranks at Feyenoord.
Arsenal snapped the 18-year-old up on a free transfer last summer.

Salah reportedly left Feyenoord over doubts regarding his progression to the senior team.
As per the Gunners , he is “renowned for his agility and creativity in the middle of the park”.
When asked about his style of play, he : “I’m a central midfielder and I like to play box to box.
“Offensively I’m a creative player and I can play with my left or right foot.
“I score goals and get assists and defensively I like to think I do my bit too, especially in the transition.”
Salah sadly spent most of last term on the sidelines following a stress fracture he suffered near his ankle.
However, he’s back to fitness and performing superbly this season, five goals and three assists in 14 appearances.
Some Arsenal fans have made comparisons between Salah and the likes of Robert Pires, Freddie Ljungberg and Samir Nasri:
Salah-Eddine is some talent, who reminds me a bit of a mixture of Pires and Ljungberg. Keep an eye on this lad, he’s a real catch this one.
