Arsenal could soon swoop for striker who’s one of the ‘best in the world’
Arsenal enjoyed a bright summer on the transfer front, making a number of key signings for the present and future.
Now, with the January window on the horizon, the likes of the Gunners will likely be setting their sights on new targets.
Arsenal did not sign a centre-forward in the summer and, while they’ve not exactly suffered from it, there is certainly scope to make an addition up front.
Now, according to , the Gunners are prepared to step up their interest in a world-class striker who’s said to be losing patience with his current club.

Arsenal alerted to change in Alexander Isak stance
The player in question is Alexander Isak, who is currently plying his trade for Newcastle United.
The Magpies have failed to build on their impressive fourth-placed finish in 2022/23, failing to qualify for Europe this time round.
Newcastle haven’t had a great season thus far, currently sitting ninth in the Premier League table without a win from their last four.
According to GiveMeSport, Isak is not interested in being forced to contend with a second consecutive season without competing in a continental tournament.
The 25-year-old would remain keen on quitting Newcastle if they fail to seal European qualification regardless of whether he signs a new contract, added the report.
Arsenal and Chelsea are now reportedly prepared to step up their interest in the new year if there seems to be any possibility of him leaving St James’ Park.
As for Newcastle’s stance, they are said to be desperate to keep Isak and have ruled out the possibility of sanctioning a January move.

How much could Arsenal be quoted for Isak?
The report claims Chelsea pulled out of the running to sign Isak in the summer as Newcastle quoted them around £120million.
Isak is a striker who, at 25, is only just heading into his prime and has more than proven himself in the Premier League.
“I think he’s one of the best in the world at the moment,” Newcastle teammate Emil Krafth told the in August.
“He’s fantastic. Hopefully he can bang goals this season too.”
With that in mind, it wouldn’t be surprising if Arsenal were quoted a similar amount for Isak.
That said, it remains to be seen whether a change in his stance – as has been reported – would force Newcastle’s hand somewhat.
