Arsenal could sign £40m striker this summer as well as Benjamin Sesko

Arsenal absolutely need a new striker this summer.

Indeed, Arsenal have had to use Mikel ♔Merino up front as of late, and while Merino earned praise for his performance against Leicester City, he wasn’t close to being as effective against West Ham at the weekend.

Arsenal have been looking for a new striker for a long tim🧸e.

Alexander Isak is a dream target for Arsenal, while Arsenal bid for Ollie Watkins in the January transfer window.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are co♏nfident about signing Benjamin Sesko in the summer.

Speaking on KS1 TV, Steve Kay has been discussing Arsenal’s search for a new striker, and he says that the Gunners are still keen on Ollie Watkins due to Gabriel Jesus’ injury and they may sign him as well as Benjamin Sesko.

Arsenal may sign Ollie Watkins alongside Benjamin Sesko

Kay shared what he’s heard about Watkins♔ and♉ Arsenal.

According to the journalist, Gabriel Jesus could actually be out of action until 2026, and that means𝓰 Arsenal are still keen on Watkins.

Arsenal’s in꧒terest in Watkins apparently won’t affect Arsenal’s plans with Sesko, and both players could end up being signed.

“Yeah, with Ollie Watkins. I had a conversation today with the main man, and Arsenal aren’t going away fro🌳m Ollie Watkins.

“Becaꩵuse of the injury to Gabriel Jesus, he may not be expected back until possibly into 2026, maybe November, late, late. I’ve been told that Ollie Watkins🔥 is still on the agenda because they need two strikers.

“That £40m will stay on the table and if Watkins is happy to come, he will come. I’ve also been told this will not affect going in for a ౠmain striker like a Sesko. It won’t be any more than £40m. £40m is the only number I know of, it may be a bit lower than tꦬhat because it’s another year.”

Ollie Watkins compared to Benjamin Sesko and Kai Havertz

Arsenal could end up signing both Watkins and Sesko in the summer transfer window, and if both players c🦩ome in, Mikel Arteta will have a big decision to make.

Indeed, if Watkins and Sesko both end up at Arsenal, all of a sudden, the Gunners will have an a𒈔bunda﷽nce of solid attacking options.

Watkins and Sesko are both top strikers, while Kai Havertz has ꦐreceived praise this season too.

Comp❀aring the three players’ stats certainly 🦂makes for interesting reading.

Watkins is scoring more goals than his peers, but he is the oldest of the ✱three players, so Mikel Arteta may want to invest more time in the long-term, younger options.

Meanwhile, Havertz already knows Arsenal’s sys🤡tem like the back of his hand, so the German remains the least risky option of the trio too.

Arsenal could well end up with three fant🦩astic striker options next summer, and picking between 💦the trio won’t be an easy task.
