Arsenal could loan out two players on deadline day as Mikel Arteta continues clear out

Amid all of the drama of deadline day, Edu and Arsenal are still looking to execute a fair few deals, with players expected to both come and go.

Edu cancelled his flight to Monaco because Arsenal have significant plans to get involved in the final few hours of the window.

Given Aaron Ramsdale has completed his move to Southampton, Arsenal are in the market for a new backup goalkeeper, they won’t end the day without welcoming a new signing.

Arsenal tabled a bid for Joan Garcia on Thursday according to reports, but are seemingly reluctant to meet the Spaniard’s release clause.

That being said, Bournemouth keeper Neto is now undergoing an Arsenal medical, an experienced last-minute alternative.

But with Ramsdale’s exit now confirmed and Eddie Nketiah’s move to Crystal Palace soon to follow, Arsenal could still see two more players leave before the deadline.

Arsenal looking for deadline day moves for Omar Rekik and Salah-Eddine Oulad M’Hand

According to journalist Simon Collings, Arsenal are looking to secure a move for both Omar Rekik and Salah Eddine Oulad M’Hand.

Collings shared his update on X as part of Standard Sports’ live blog, and mentioned that both players could head out on loan.

He shared: “Arsenal looking to secure moves for some young players, one of those being Omar Rekik.

“Salah-Eddine Oulad M’Hand could also go on loan, but less likely than Rekik. He travelled with first-team squad last weekend.”

Of course, both 22-year-old Rekik and 21-year-old Salah-Eddine are in that awkward space between the Hale End academy and Arteta’s first team.

Rekik doesn’t quite seem as if he’s up to the standard required to assist Mikel Arteta at all in truth.

But Salah-Eddine impressed in Arsenal pre-season, explaining why he’s remained close to the first team.

Arsenal most likely club to sign Raheem Sterling on deadline day

Of course, with Nketiah and now Salah-Eddine set to leave, who can also be an option in attacking areas for Arsenal, Arteta may look a little light on options as the season goes on.

That explains why Arsenal are the most likely side to sign Raheem Sterling on deadline day, who’s surplus to requirements at Chelsea.

A potential loan deal for Sterling is now being rumoured, which could prove to be a smart piece of business by Edu and his team.

There’s seemingly too many unknowns with Kingsley Coman to take a risk on the Bayern Munich winger this late.

But Arteta knows Sterling well, a player who could add both experience and quality alongside Neto.
