Arsenal could land Euro 2024 star for just £25m this summer

There have been a number of players from this summer’s Euros who have really caught the eye of the north London outfit.

Edu Gaspar is said to be eyeing a potential move for Spain’s Nico Williams after his impressive displays under

And then there are players like Ivan Toney who could prove an option for Arsenal later in the window as they look to possibly address their options up top.

But there is another player who could feature in Sunday’s final in Berlin who is catching the eye in north London.

According to , Real Sociedad are looking for an offer in the region of €30m (£25m) for midfielder Mikel Merino this summer.

But the Gunners are not alone in their interest in the Spaniard with the likes of Barcelona also credited with an interest in the report.

Atletico Madrid are said to be willing to offer around €20m (£17m) for the 28-year-old.

However, Arteta is claimed to be a big advocate for Arsenal’s interest in the midfielder having already shown an interest in Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi.

Arsenal could land ‘world-class’ midfielder for just £25m

The figures involved in some transfers these days are astronomical and that can be seen with the likes of Declan Rice.

Of course, Arsenal fans will argue he has been worth every penny for what he has brought to the midfield in north London.

But in Merino, Arsenal could land themselves a midfielder who has been hailed as ‘world-class‘ for what would be a bargain, relatively speaking.

The 28-year-old only has one-year left on his deal with the La Liga outfit which leaves him with potentially only two options this summer, sign a new deal or leave.
