Arsenal could land deadline day bargain that club chiefs though was impossible weeks ago

Arsenal have bided their time recently in the transfer window and now face a bit of a mad rush to get some final deals over the line.

Aaron Ramsdale is the latest player on course for a move away from Arsenal. This leaves Arsenal rather short in the goalkeeping department with David Raya now missing a back-up.

One option that’s come out the woodworks is Joan Garcia, with Arsenal set to make him their first move on transfer deadline day today.

And, that’s not all, as the Gunners also have Dan Bentley in their sights as a potential third keeper.

Now, a Mikel Arteta move for Kingsley Coman has also been touted but that one looks unlikely to be completed before the deadline.

These aren’t the only players Arsenal could sign though with the potential for late deals to arise…

Arsenal eyeing late bargains on deadline day

It has been claimed in the that Arsenal could hedge their bets on picking up a late bargain deal as clubs look to offload players.

Arsenal have been weighing up a deal but there is a feeling that the market could open up in the final hours, due to the number of big clubs who want to sell.

There is a belief that this could bring bargains that would not have been possible even a few weeks ago.

If Arsenal can get a goalkeeper or two over the line then they could then have the luxury of just sitting back and potentially waiting for an attacker to become available at the right price.

Which players could become available for Arsenal?

Well, currently you’ve got Ivan Toney being linked with a move to Arsenal and Tottenham, as well as Chelsea and Saudi Arabia.

It is believed that Brentford would rather sell to a Premier League club as they feel that with the Saudi window closing a few days later, they’ll get a better price if they sell him now.

Another striker who Arsenal could sign comes from Brighton. Evan Ferguson could be available on a cut-price deal as the window draws to a close, though it would still be around £50 million.

Of course, the Gunners do already have the likes of Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus up top, but Eddie Nketiah heading to Crystal Palace leaves them one injury away from a potential crisis.
