Mudryk has emerged as Arsenal’s key target in the January window. And after seeing Chelsea sign Joao Felix, it seems they’ve been left with a clear run at landing the impressive Ukrainian forward.

Reports yesterday had claimed a breakthrough in talks had happened. It’s suggested Arsenal have come to terms on what sort of up front fee they’ll pay for Mudryk, with the rest down to add-ons, incentives, and bonuses.

Shakhtar have been insistent all window that they get around £100m for Mudryk. And while they might not get that figure, it’s believed something around the £70m mark is possible.

TBR’s View: Final stages for Arsenal to sign Mudryk is huge news

What a signing this is going to be for Arsenal. The sort of player who can make a difference right from the get go and give what is already a good team another huge lift.

Mudryk has shown his talent across Europe this season and he fits right in with Arsenal. Quick, full of energy, and young and hungry to learn, this one has success written all over it.

There’ll be pressure from the price tag, sure. But Mudryk can handle it and, ultimately, prove a huge success for Arsenal this season and beyond.
