Report: Arsenal are now ‘quietly confident’ they can sign ‘exceptional’ £50m player this summer
Arsenal and Gabriel Jesus have been mentioned more times than the Queen’s Jubilee recently, but it might all be worth it in the end for Gunners fans.
The Brazilian striker is said to be Mikel Arteta’s number one target at the top of the pitch. Jesus is expected to leave Manchester City, who are open both keeping and selling the striker. However, just recently it has emerged that Tottenham are also keen on signing Jesus. That, of course, is the nightmare outcome for any Arsenal fan.

But according to today, Arsenal fans can breathe a tad easier when it comes to Gabriel Jesus. Their report claims that there is a quiet confidence in the Arsenal camp that a deal can be struck for Jesus. Arsenal are expected to have to pay around £50m for their man, but that is a price the club are willing to go to this summer.
City boss Pep Guardiola is a big fan of Jesus and labelled the forward as an ‘‘ player just last season. But with Erling Haaland signing and City wanting new faces, the Brazilian is expected to depart.

Gunners fans will feel like they’ve heard all this stuff before. Pursuing a player, said player then wants to move, only for the deal to fall through late in the day and the club be left empty handed.
Arsenal supporters can be encouraged by this news on Jesus. However, they won’t be getting too excited until the Brazilian actually signs on the dotted line and is pictured in Arsenal red.
Until then, the summer is going to be a nightmare for Arsenal fans. Of course, it will be worth it if they do land Jesus eventually. But until then, the champagne is firmly on ice.
