Arsenal are only prepared to offer £60m for ‘unbelievable’ striker likened to Harry Kane
Arsenal are only prepared to offer £60m for an ‘unbelievable’ striker likened to Harry Kane, according to a recent report.
The North Londoners are in the market for a striker after coming up two points short of title-winners Manchester City last term.
Mikel Arteta’s side have lacked a real prolific number nine over the last few seasons and it has just emerged that they’re only willing to go up to £60m to sign an ‘unbelievable’ one.

Arsenal only willing to offer £60m for Viktor Gyokeres
According to The Sun, via the , Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres is on Arsenal’s radar this summer.
Though, they prefer to do a deal between £50m-60m, which is a long way short of his £85m release clause.
Sporting would be willing to strike a deal for less than that but it seems rather unlikely they’d go much lower than £70m.
Gyokeres, who has been likened to Harry Kane, netted 43 times last term whilst laying on 15 assists in his debut campaign.
Arsenal will have to look elsewhere
Arsenal appear a long way off Sporting’s valuation for Gyokeres and it seems they aren’t willing to go any higher than £60m, so they should consider focusing on other targets as the Portuguese club are unlikely to budge.
Perhaps Ivan Toney would be a more viable option, or maybe Joshua Zirkzee, who is yet to finalise a move to AC Milan.
A telling window awaits sporting director Edu, who will be tasked with the difficult challenge of finding a top-level number nine for a reasonable fee.
