‘Arsenal are one of the contenders’: Agent speaks out on ‘special’ Gunners-linked Brazilian
Reported Arsenal target Willian has already decided on his future and “it won’t be long” before an announcement is made, his agent Kia Joorabchian has told .
Over the past few weeks, speculation linking Arsenal and the Brazilian attacker – now a free agent after his Chelsea contract expired – has intensified.
As reported by the on Thursday night, Willian is set to earn £220,000-a-week at the Emirates Stadium, with the contract “expected” to be signed off by Sunday.

Such reports still fall within the speculation umbrella but, on Thursday, Joorabchian did admit that Arsenal are one of the contenders “for sure”, though he remained coy in terms of where he’ll be going.
Asked by about Willian’s next club, the agent said: “He is a free player.
“He had a fantastic seven years at Chelsea, he’s been under various managers, he’s won multiple trophies and he has a fantastic relationship with Frank [Lampard], he respected him a lot.
“But I think that cycle had come to a moment where it’s a good moment to leave.
“At the moment, just for now I cant say where he’s going to go, for sure Arsenal are one of the contenders. But it wont be long before we announce it. We know where he’s going, so it wont be long.”

Judging by the intense, confident speculation from multiple outlets on the transfer saga, it would definitely be a huge surprise at this point if Willian did not sign for Arsenal.
