Arsenal now discussing Raheem Sterling signing
The Gunners are clearly looking to sign a new forward today with options there for the north London club to sign an experienced option.
Kingsley Coman is a name which is being heavily linked with a potential move to Arsenal but David Ornstein has squashed those reports.
And there is one player in Raheem Sterling who could now offer Arsenal Premier League experience before the end of play today.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are now internally discussing the possibility of signing Sterling today.
Chelsea have offered Arsenal the opportunity to sign him given his position at the club hangs in the balance under Enzo Marseca.
Having not been involved in the opening two Premier League squads, Sterling’s future does appear to be away from Stamford Bridge.
And it is believed the winger is now assessing his options but he does not have too much time to make his decision.
Mikel Arteta knows Raheem Sterling extremely well
There could be a reunion on the cards in north London between Mikel Arteta and Sterling over the coming hours.
Arteta worked with Sterling during his time under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City before the pair both returned to London.
In Sterling, Arteta could land himself an ‘‘ player with vast Premier League and Champions League experience.
With a real need to provide Bukayo Saka some support, this could be a real shrewd piece of business.
