Arsenal are ‘close to a full agreement’ to sign another player after Noni Madueke and Cristhian Mosquera

Arsenal are pushing hard to complete more signings in the coming days.

Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard were all brought in earlier in July, while Noni Madueke completed his move to Arsenal on Friday.

The next player set to come in is Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia. A deal has been agreed for the defender, who has also undergone his medical in London.

That makes it five new players for Arsenal in this window already, and in what is more good news for the fans, a sixth addition could happen very soon as well.

Arsenal are close to signing Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP

Arsenal have been working on a deal to sign Viktor Gyokeres for about a month now.

The Gunners are in desperate need of a new centre-forward, and Mikel Arteta initially chose to bring Benjamin Sesko to the club.

However, after a deal for the Slovenia international proved to be too expensive, Andrea Berta shifted his focus towards Gyokeres and has been pushing to complete the deal.

Arsenal agreed an initial fee with Sporting for Gyokeres over a week ago, but there has been a big delay due to the add-ons involved in the deal.

Now, Ben Jacobs has claimed that the above issue is close to being resolved as well.

He tweeted late on Friday night: “Arsenal now close to a full agreement with Sporting for Viktor Gyökeres.

“Hope is for a breakthrough over the weekend, with a small portion of the add-ons still under discussion and Gyokeres waiting for permission to undergo a medical.

“€63.5m+€10m package broadly agreed and only small details left.”

One more signing after Gyokeres could make this a 10/10 window for Arsenal

Arsenal fans should be over the moon with the window they have had so far.

Four quality additions to their squad already, with two more in Mosquera and Gyokeres about to come in, is phenomenal business.

Arteta can’t complain about this window, but for it to become a 10/10 summer, Arsenal should sign one of three players – Eberechi Eze of Crystal Palace, Rodrygo Goes of Real Madrid or RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons.

If Berta can secure the services of one of those three players, Arsenal could go into the new season as the favourites to win the Premier League title.
