As the summer transfer window trundles along into another week, it appears both Arsenal and Manchester United are scrapping it out for Serge Gnabry.
Reports in recent days have suggested that Gnabry is on Arsenal’s list of potential signings, with a deal to bring in Raphinha from Leeds looking more and more unlikely. And according to a report from the this weekend, both Arsenal and Manchester United are showing the most interest in the German.

Of course, Gnabry is no stranger to English football and Arsenal, having began his career with the Gunners before moving onto Munich, via West Brom. Manchester United, meanwhile, are in the hunt for new attacking players after Cristiano Ronaldo rocked them this weekend by asking to leave.
It’s claimed in the Star’s report that both United and Arsenal are aware of each others interest in Gnabry, and they could be set to lock horns over the transfer. It would be a second battle for the pair, who are both chasing Ajax defender, Lisandro Martinez.
Liverpool have also explored signing Gnabry. However, Mo Salah’s new contract is likely to have dampened that interest for the time being at least.

Arsenal’s summer is going along nicely, isn’t it? They’re making a number of good signings and keep being linked with moves for other good players as well.
In terms of Gnabry, he’d be some signing, especially for just £40m. He’s the sort of attacking player who could really light up The Emirates or Old Trafford, and is a proven commodity at the highest level.
Rest assured, if either pull this off, it’s a huge summer signing.
