Arsenal and Chelsea’s stance over signing Marcus Rashford for Man United confirmed as Atletico Madrid show interest

TBR Football are able to exclusively confirm that Marcus Rashford is attracting a prospective loan offer from Atletico Madrid as he looks to be heading towards the exit door at Old Trafford.

Ruben Amorim is open to Rashford’s exit, as is Sir Jim Ratcliffe as the pair are keen on initiating a culture shift at Manchester United.

Ahead of the Manchester Derby, Ruben Amorim took the bold decision of leaving the Englishman out of his matchday squad alongside Alejandro Garnacho, a step that seemingly galvanised United to win 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium.

Marcus Rashford has admitted that he is “ready for a new challenge and the next steps” in his career, suggesting that he is prepared to bid farewell to his boyhood club.

Atletico Madrid open to Marcus Rashford loan move

TBR Football’s transfer correspondent Graeme Bailey can exclusively reveal that a prospective loan move for Rashford would appeal to Atletico Madrid, who have previously shown an interest in the out-of-sorts forward.

The Wythenshawe-born winger dreams of playing in Spain, however, potential transfers to either Real Madrid or Barcelona do not lie in his destiny.

So far, both Spanish giants have shown no interest in signing Rashford, with Diego Simeone’s side looking like the only possible option he has if he wishes to play his football in La Liga.

Barcelona have been offered Rashford, if they wish to make a move for him alongside Bayern Munich and Fenerbahce.

As for other possible destinations in the transfer market, the Saudi Pro League does not appeal to Rashford, who is still in the prime of his career.

Do Chelsea and Arsenal want to sign Rashford?

TBR Football can also confirm that both Chelsea and Arsenal have no interest in signing the Manchester United academy graduate.

It has been reported that Arsenal could afford a move for Rashford if they wished to pursue his signature.

However, a move abroad seems the likeliest outcome for Rashford, who has spent the entirety of his career in a Manchester United shirt.

Whether Rashford follows in fellow English players like Kieran Trippier and Conor Gallagher’s footsteps and heads to Atletico Madrid, albeit on a potential loan deal initially remains to be seen.
