Report: Arsenal and Arteta have convinced Kido Taylor-Hart of pathway into first-team

Arsenal are said to be close to securing a new contract for exciting midfielder, Kido Taylor-Hart, with Mikel Arteta playing a key role.

The teenager is said to be edging close to putting pen to paper on a new deal with the Gunners. The suggest a contract of at least three-years will be signed by Taylor-Hart.

Taylor-Hart’s new deal is more good news for Arsenal this summer. It comes in the wake of Arthur Okonwko signing fresh terms, while Folarin Balogun was also secured a few months back.

also suggests that it is indeed Mikel Arteta who has played a pivotal role in securing Taylor-Hart. The Spaniard is said to have convinceed the midfielder of his pathway to first-team football.

Sure enough, it seems to have done the trick. Taylor-Hart is expected to put pen to paper in the coming days. He is also expected to join up with the Gunners in pre-season in Scotland, hence aiding his development further.

Keeping top talent

While adding new faces is a priority this summer for Arsenal, so is keeping hold of their best young players. After a period where it looked like they might lose a few faces, the Gunners have moved to secure their players.

Taylor-Hart is clearly rated as well. 11 goals last season at youth level showed off his talent in abundance. He’s also well equipped to tackle the rigours of first-team football, with his height, skill, and Leroy Sane-like speed all big factors.

Arsenal seem to be moving forward with Arteta and Edu leading the charge this summer. The big test will be when the season starts. But for now, tying Kido Taylor-Hart to a new contract is a positive step.
