Taking to X to break the news, Romano has said that Vieira will sign on loan and that the deal is in the final stages already.

The post from Romano follows on from the exclusive report broken by David Ornstein just minutes before.

According to his report in the , Vieira has been left out of the squad to face Aston Villa this weekend in a bid to finalise a move back to his former club.

Vieira needed to move

Some signings just don’t work out and Fabio Vieira is one of those for Arsenal.

They forked out a decent fee to bring him over but in the end, he just hasn’t done the business and Arsenal fans will probably be glad to see him go.

The big question now is whether or not they sign a replacement for Vieira or go with a younger player like Ethan Nwaneri in his place

Vieira, of course, will be disappointed to see his time with Arsenal effectively end in failure.

But this is also a chance for him to go and prove himself again and in reality, the move is beneficial for everyone involved.
