Arne Slot should do a U-turn on £37m star he wants to keep at Liverpool and sell him after Reds reject two bids
Arne Slot has big decisions to make about how much of his Liverpool squad he would like to retain ahead of next season.
Liverpool seem to have decided to go on a spending spree this summer but they could bring in more fresh faces if they decide to offload some more players.
With Jeremie Frimpong having signed for Liverpool already, the likes of Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez could follow suit as well.
But Arne Slot will need to trim his roster in general as the last thing the Dutchman would want is to see unhappy faces in the camp as that always emerges as the downside of managing bloated squads.

Arne Slot should tell Liverpool to sell Luis Diaz after Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr bids
One Reds player who has been heavily linked with an exit for months is Luis Diaz.
Arne Slot would like to keep Diaz and persuade the former Porto winger to extend his contract with Liverpool.
But perhaps it would be best for Liverpool to part ways with the £37 million () man, as journalist Sebastien Vidal has revealed that Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr both bid £85 million to secure his services.
A key reason why the Reds should happily part ways with Diaz is his chronic inconsistency — as the Colombian international did not produce either a goal or an assist in 10 of his last 15 Premier League outings.
While it seemed like Arne Slot transformed Diaz, especially when deploying him as a striker in the first half of the season, his performances tailed off and Cody Gakpo looked like the Dutchman’s go-to man out wide.
Throughout his time at Liverpool, while Diaz has had stretches where he has looked like the real deal, the Premier League champion never seems to be able to remain consistently brilliant.

On the other hand, while Liverpool are open to selling Gakpo, he has had his best season at Anfield after being given a run of games as a left-winger and looks like he could ably play second fiddle to Mohamed Salah.
Instead of letting the Dutch forward leave, Liverpool should accept a sizable fee like £85 million for Diaz and instead, reinvest the potential revenue by signing an upgrade on the latter.
Liverpool in talks to sign £25 million Diaz replacement
Apart from Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr, Barcelona are eyeing Diaz as well.
Liverpool have held talks to sign Malick Fofana in case the Barrancas-born forward departs.
Fofana is expected to cost £25 million and is one of the hottest properties in Europe.
