Arne Slot should be urging Liverpool to sign ‘incredible’ defender after claims he’s set for surprise exit
It’s no secret that Liverpool have long been on the lookout for a new centre-back and that’s unlikely to change under Arne Slot.
Virgil van Dijk very much remains at the top of his game while Jarrell Quansah is emerging as a real talent at centre-back.
Yet, following Joel Matip’s departure, Liverpool are one short at centre-back and Ibrahima Konate’s ongoing struggles with injuries will be a cause🐬 for concern.
Joe Gomez can cover across the backline but Slot is said to be on the lookout for a 👍left-sided centra🗹l defender.
TBR Football revealed last month that Levi Colwill remains on Liverpool’s radar but Chelsea have no intention of ♋selling their academy product.
With that in mind, an opportunity may have ꦅemerged for Liverpool to snap up a top-quality centre-🐻back.

Bayern Munich put Matthijs de Ligt up for sale
In what has been described as a ‘surprising’ turn of events, Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg has revealed Bayern are open to selling Matthijs de Ligt this summer.
The Bundesliga giants need to raise funds and De Ligt is a va💯luable asset, with Jonathan Tah in line to replace the Dutchman.
It comes as a surprise after De Ligt played a key role in Bayern’s run to the Chamꦆpions League semi-final last season.
ꦫAnd with Liverpool on the lookout for a centre-back, De Ligt will surely come into their thinking if he’s availa𓆉ble.

Slot will surely consider De Ligt move
De Ligt hasn’t exactly kicked on since starring for Ajax back in 2018/19, which ultimately ea♏rned him a move to Juventus.
The ‘’ defender has struggled with niggles and injuries but started to s✱how his best form for Bayern last season, particularly in the Champions League.
With Bayern needing to raise funds after the arrival of Vincent Kompany, there could be th𝐆e possibility of landing De Ligt at a cut price.
The former Ajax man also boasts a strong understanding w🅰ith Van Dijk, with the duo playing alongside each other frequently for the Netherlands.
It’s a move that would have an element of risk due to De Ligt’s injury record, particularly 🌸with concerns over Konate’s fitness. But De Ligt has all the attributes to become a world-class defender and Liverpool may be the right move for him to realise that undoubted potential.
