Arne Slot names the Liverpool player alongside Mo Salah who is ‘so important’ for his team

Liverpool forward Mo Salah might have been the main man as they beat Bournemouth but Arne Slot has highlight another key Reds star in his post-match comments.

Slot watched on as Salah scored twice, first from the spot and then with a brilliant second to put the game to bed and continue Liverpool’s fine run this season.

With Bournemouth in such fine form, the trip to the South Coast was expected to be a really tough one for Liverpool.

However, Salah once again came to the party when he needed and Liverpool look like they’re going to take some stopping in the title run now.

Still, it’s not a one-man game and Liverpool have some superstar players outside of Salah. One of which, is goalkeeper, Alisson Becker.

Arne Slot gives Alisson Becker verdict as Liverpool beat Bournemouth

Speaking to the media after the game, Slot got onto the subject of his team and while the focus was on Salah, he was also questioned on Alisson, who played well yet again.

And according to Slot, the Brazilian is right up there in terms of important.

“He does incredibly well. He has been so important for so many years, it is for others to judge who is the best in the world and the league,” .

Slot has already said Alisson is the best in the world

While the Liverpool boss falls short of saying it here, he has spoke before of how good he thinks his goalkeeper is.

“Yeah maybe his teammates wanted to be sure he was really fit and to give him a lot of work,” Slot said of Alisson after a Champions League tie this season.

“No, of course, that’s not the idea, but he showed today and I don’t think anybody needed him to show it today because I think everyone knows he’s the best goalkeeper in the world.

“He showed today that he definitely is this because he was so important for us with so many saves.”

Liverpool splashed out huge money on Alisson when they signed him but over the years, he has been more than worth it.
