Luis Diaz pushing for new Liverpool contract
TBR Football understands that Diaz’s representatives are again pressing for talks over a new contract that will see him become one of the highest earners at Anfield.
Diaz has three-years left on his current deal, but since the turn of the year he and his people have been wanting fresh terms.
They have attracted some interest from Barcelona, but Liverpool have little intention of losing the Colombian – who has enjoyed an excellent start to the new season.
Arne Slot happy to offer Luis Diaz fresh terms
Whilst a new contract for Trent Alexander-Arnold is the priority for Liverpool’s hierarchy that does not mean they are not actively looking at other situations which includes Diaz and talks are set to take place again. The two parties have had negotiations previously.
TBR understands Slot is a huge fan of Diaz and is happy for him to be rewarded with fresh terms.
The 27-year-old has netted three times whilst laying on one assist so far under the Dutchman and has established himself as a talismanic figure.
