Arne Slot dubbed ‘best in the world’ in key aspect as Liverpool players notice stark contrast after Jurgen Klopp
If the early days are anything to go by, then Liverpool have found a fantastic young manager in Arne Slot.
The Dutchman has endured a bit of a low-key start as the Anfield faithful are still reeling from Jurgen Klopp‘s departure, but if we were to judge based on comments from the players and journalists with close ties to the club, Slot has already made a massive impact.
Over the past few weeks, the likes of Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliott and Dominik Szoboszlai have waxed lyrical about his attention to detail and footballing philosophy. On the other hand, Slot has spearheaded Liverpool to two wins from as many pre-season games, with the recent 2-1 win against Arsenal the highlight of his Anfield career so far.
The result aside, the Dutchman’s philosophy was there for everyone to see as Liverpool played patiently and carved Arsenal open with two well-taken goals from Mohamed Salah and Fabio Carvalho.
As Liverpool and Slot gear up for the new season, the former Feyenoord boss has received some high praise.
Liverpool players notice difference between Slot and Klopp’s training methods
According to a report from , a prominent figure from a rival Premier League club, albeit unnamed, has referred to Slot as ‘one of the best managers in the world’ at the training ground.

His philosophy has been described as more technical than what was the case under Klopp, with the Liverpool players taking note of the stark contrast in the early days of working with their new manager.
The report also mentions that the Liverpool squad doesn’t necessarily believe the training methods are better or worse. They simply acknowledge the fact that things have changed within the club and are happy to work with their new manager, who puts a lot more emphasis on the ‘theory’ when compared to his predecessor.
Liverpool are set to face Manchester United in the USA and Sevilla at Anfield before their Premier League opener against newly-promoted side Ipswich Town on August 17th.
Most of the Liverpool players who had deep runs in Euro 2024 and Copa America 2024 and set to return in the coming days, giving Slot all the required information to decide whether he wants to fine-tune his squad this summer.
The Reds are the only Premier League side yet to make a signing this summer, but it would be a massive surprise if this doesn’t change between now and the end of the transfer window.
