Arne Slot decides he wants Liverpool to sign £37m ‘phenomenon’ this summer
According to a journalist, Liverpool are eyeing a £37m-rated defender on the continent this summer transfer window.
The Merseysiders have bided their time in the window but are now expected to accelerate deals with Euro 2024 having come to a close.
Arne Slot will be eager to make his own imprint on the squad and has just identified a defender he’d like to sign.

Liverpool interested in Mohamed Simakan
According to Sky Germany journalist Philipp Hinze, Liverpool are interested in signing RB Leipzig defender Mohamed Simakan this summer.
Hinze adds that The Reds are yet to make an approach for the 24-year-old, who is also of interest to La Liga giants Atletico Madrid.
Leipzig have included Simakan in their plans next season, so it’d take a bid of around £37m to perhaps sanction a sale.
The Frenchman is open to a summer exit and could make the switch to Anfield to replace Joel Matip, who left the club upon the expiry of his contract.
