Argentina seriously worried about bone injury as they await Tottenham report on Cristian Romero
Tottenham might have seen off Aston Villa at the weekend but it came at a cost as a number of their key players left the field with injuries.
Spurs came back from one goal down to hammer Villa and breathe new life into their season in what has been a stop-star campaign so far.
However, while the goals for Dominic Solanke were welcomed and James Maddison got his redemption with a late free-kick, Tottenham saw Richarlison and Cristian Romero go down injured.
Indeed, Romero left the field in some pain and frustration, with Postecoglou himself admitting things didn’t look good for either player.
“Richy felt something in the action of setting the goal up. Romero’s was in that challenge he felt his foot was sore. He’s a tough cookie so for him to come off it must have been painful. I don’t know much about [the injuries] yet, at the time.
And according to Argentinian media outlet , there is now a major fear over Romero’s injury.

Cristian Romero could have broken bone after Tottenham v Aston Villa
According to the report from TYC, there are now big fears in Argentina that Romero has suffered what could be a serious injury.
It’s claimed that a bone injury is the fear among those in South America, which suggests Romero has either broken something or severely bruised his foot or toe.
As of now, Tottenham have not released any up to date information on the injury and with no announcement, it means tensions will rise.
Tottenham fans, of course, won’t want to see Romero injured at all either and just like Argentina, they face a nervous wait for news.
Romero blow would be massive for Tottenham
Tottenham are a better team when Cristian Romero plays, it’s that simple.
Right now, the club are facing an anxious wait and the reports from Argentina suggest the defender will miss the upcoming internationals.
Tottenham fans will be praying for the best outcome. If Romero has indeed broken a bone, we know from past injuries that these can often take some time to heal.
