‘Are you winding me up?’… Jamie O’Hara reacts after what he’s just heard about West Ham
Jamie O’Hara was far from happy after Tottenham Hotspur suffered a 2-1 defeat against West Ham United last night.
Ange Postecoglou‘s men did what they have done in each of their last five games – end up on the losing side despite taking the lead. O’Hara was furious with Spurs as a result.

Jamie O’Hara reacts after West Ham beat Tottenham
Tottenham went into the game against West Ham last night with zero wins in their last four games, but there was some optimism from Spurs fans about returning to winning ways.
The North Londoners had a very good first half, where the returning Cristian Romero gave them the lead through a brilliant header from a corner.
Everything seemed to be going to plan for Tottenham, but just like they did against Aston Villa, they threw it all away. O’Hara was raging after the result.
He said on : “I know the squad is thin, I know it ain’t great, but come on, I mean, they are still a good team out there. You can’t get beat, you can’t get beat by West Ham. You can’t, I’m sorry!”
When Dean Saunders and Jason Cundy both called West Ham a ‘good’ team, a shocked O’Hara replied: “Are you winding me up, lads?
“Yeah, they’re a good side, but you can’t lose that game. As a Tottenham fan, as Tottenham players, as a manager knows you’ve just come, we’ve picked up one point in four and you go into the West Ham game, you can’t lose that game.
“You can’t get beat in a way we’ve got beat. We lacked quality in the final third tonight.”
West Ham are a great side
Despite Jamie O’Hara’s comments, West Ham deserve a lot of credit for their performance last night.
Yes, their goals came from Spurs’ mistakes, but Jarrod Bowen and James Ward-Prowse still had to convert their chances, and they did that well.
West Ham are a really good side. They won the Conference League at the end of last season, and they could easily push for a finish in the top seven in the Premier League this campaign – they’re just three points behind Tottenham.
As for Spurs, they need to bounce back ASAP, but things don’t get any easier. They take on Newcastle United next in what will be a very difficult game.
