Are Wolves missing out as Andre Silva scores brace against Real Madrid?

Wolverhampton Wanderers have made a bright start to the 2018/19 season.

However, one of their summer transfer targets is quickly suggesting the club may have made a mistake in not trying harder to sign him.

Andre Silva has started fantastically at Sevilla, scoring six goals already.

It was a fine collective display, but Silva reminded everyone what a promising young player he is.

His finishing on the two goals was good, and his positioning even better.

The Portugal international has really struggled at AC Milan.

Since joining the Rossoneri, he has only scored two league goals in 24 appearances.

He fared a little better in the Europa League, but he ultimately didn’t convince and was sent out on loan to the Spanish side this summer.

Another team who were linked with his services this summer were Premier League side Wolves ().

Wolves haven’t struggled so far, but certainly their defence have been stronger than their attack.

The Midlands club have scored six goals in their first six games.

Raul Jimenez looks to be a great loan signing, but it remains to be seen if he can do it all season.

Silva has six goals by himself, and appears to be reminding people why he was such a big deal before his big money move to San Siro.

His haul includes an opening day hat-trick against Rayo Vallecano.

It is difficult to say if Wolves have missed a trick here or not. The Premier League is totally different to La Liga.

With hindsight, it is easy to say Wolves have missed out on a great player, and the player’s form is certainly making it hard not to feel any regret.
