Are these Spurs and Chelsea stars some of Belgium’s key men for Euro 2016?

Belgium head into the 2016 European Championships in France as one of the hot tips for success, with a relatively youthful and deadly squad who could very well go all the way this summer.

The only draw-back for the Belgians is they will be without their captain Vincent Kompany for the tournament as the big centre-half has been sidelined through injury. However, he isn’t the only player that can make a difference for Belgium.

Here are three of the most vital players for Belgium who are the most likely to be important to Marc Wilmots’ side.

Kevin De Bruyne

After moving to Manchester City from Wolfsburg last summer, Kevin De Bruyne proved to Chelsea why they should never have let him get away, being an integral part of City’s fantastic early-season form, both creating and scoring goals.

Not only does he possess bundles of energy and prowess on the ball, he is also a man for the big occasion, coming up with the goods in the Champions League against PSG for example, often scoring key goals when even the talismanic Sergio Aguero had not been able to come to the rescue.

A sign of how vital De Bruyne is to his team is when he suffered injury mid-way through Man City’s Premier League campaign, the whole team’s performance and results curtailed, and picked up when he returned.

It was noticeable to see the influence he had on the performances of those around him, and Wilmots will be hoping that a similar outcome will come to pass for his Red Devils team.
