Are Aston Villa fighting a losing battle to re-sign Tuanzebe?
Aston Villa appear to be fighting a losing battle in their quest to re-sign Axel Tuanzebe.
that the defender is going on the club’s pre-season tour of Australia, suggesting that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to take a closer look at him ahead of 2019/20.

Earlier this week, the 21-year-old penned a new deal at Old Trafford.
The starlet impressed on loan at Villa Park last term and there has been hope on the part of the Midlands club that they can sign him permanently.
The fact that United are going all the way to Australia complicates matters further, and Villa might just be inclined to intensify their reported pursuit of Southampton defender Jack Stephens ( – 2 July, page 49).
TBR’s view
It very much looks like United are ready to allow Tuanzebe the chance to prove himself.
Last term the Red Devils were poor defensively and Solskjaer needs improvements at the back.

The club seem to be struggling to secure reinforcements via the transfer market, so Tuanzebe could be an answer to their issues.
The situation might prompt Villa into stepping up their pursuit of Saints defender Stephens, who has become a decent Premier League player over the last couple of years.
The £48,000-a-week ace () likely wouldn’t be too expensive and is still a few years away from his peak.
