Archie Gray reacts with two-word message as Leeds United make Tuesday announcement
Leeds United’s academy is renowned for churning out talent, with Archie Gray the latest off the conveyor belt to break into the first team – and he responded after another teen earned a new deal.
Gray has been incredible this season, playing 41 times and only turning 18 last week. His brother Harry is also impressing in the academy – playing seven times for the U18 side and scoring five Leeds goals.
Gray even spoke about his younger brother Harry, 15, this week – stating he cannot wait to play with the rookie star. On Tuesday, Leeds announced a new deal for another youngster, midfielder Sam Chambers.
The attacking player has already played 23 times for the U18 side at 16, and has broken his way into the U21 side. Way ahead of the curve, as well as captaining Scotland’s U17 side at this very early stage.
Leeds confirmed that Chambers had put pen to paper on a deal at Elland Road, his first professional deal – until the summer of 2026. after signing on the dotted line.

Leeds have moved to fend off any potential interest in Chambers by handing him a new contract even before his 17th birthday. He is a top talent and the fact he’s played for the 21’s already is a sign of that.
Able to play out wide, as a 10 or deeper in midfield – Chambers has every chance of becoming the next Archie Gray and break into Daniel Farke’s side. Charlie Crew is also in with a shout of a senior promotion.
A goal and and assist in his 23 games for the 18’s, Chambers also got an assist for the U21 side when last in action – during a 5-3 league defeat to Fulham. Gray responded to his new deal, on Instagram.
