Apparent Leeds United target was reportedly wanted at Elland Road by Paul Heckingbottom

Leeds United have been linked with a move for Bristol City midfielder Josh Brownhill this week. the West Yorkshire side are said to be keen on the player.

has since gone on to suggest that Bristol City have no intention of selling the player.

They suggest any sale of the player would be in excess of £15 million and that would seemingly rule Leeds out of the equation anyway.

It is, of course, not the first time Leeds have been linked with Brownhill. Back in February 2018, Leeds had recently appointed Paul Heckingbottom as the new Elland Road boss.

Heckingbottom previously worked with Brownhill during a loan spell at Barnsley which helped the links gain traction.

However, , Brownhill had absolutely no desire to join his former boss at Leeds United.

That was, of course, over a year ago, and Brownhill might be in a different mindset.

But with Bristol City hoping to battle for promotion again next term and Heckingbottom not present at Leeds, it seems this rumour can be put to bed.
