Report: Conte has already decided to replace one of Paratici’s summer signings
Tottenham Hotspur won 1-0 at Watford this afternoon but the focus will now shift to the addition of new players in the January transfer window for new manager, Antonio Conte.
There will be a focus on both outgoings and incomings for Tottenham. However, in what might come as a surprise to some, Conte will look to replace summer signing, Emerson Royal. The Brazilian only arrived a few months back when Fabio Paratici got a for then manager, Nuno Santo.
However, according to the , Conte has already seen enough from Emerson and wants a replacement for the South American in January. Who that will be, remains to be seen.

Emerson was the focus of much of Spurs’ attacking play today at Watford. But speaking after the game, Conte picked out both Royal and Sergio Reguilon as players who need to improve.
Should Conte get a replacement for Emerson Royal, then it will be a clear indication that he isn’t here to make friends or mess about. Indeed, it will show a decisiveness from the Italian in what he wants. In reality, it probably means Fabio Paratici getting used to taking a few orders from Conte.
TBR’s View: Emerson Royal Doing Ok But Is He Enough?
Well, by the sounds of it, no he isn’t. It appears Conte has had enough already and whoever comes in will be seen as an immediate upgrade on the Brazilian.
However, it doesn’t mean the end for Emerson. In fact, most big clubs have two players for every position. In a way, it might drive him on to perform even better and prove a point to his new manager.
On the flip side, it’s also a blow for the right-back. He only signed a long-term deal in the summer so to see the club already looking for someone else is a bit of a gut punch.
