Antonio Conte praises Tottenham youngster Harvey White
The World Cup is now over and the Premier League will return in just a few days’ time.
Conte is hoping for big things from his players in the second half of the campaign, and he set his side out against Nice yesterday to get them ready for the trip to Brentford on Boxing Day.
Plenty of regulars started the game for Spurs yesterday, but with Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Richarlison all unavailable, Conte turned to young White to play up front.
The 21-year-old is naturally a defensive midfielder, who has played in a box-to-box role as well for the academy side. However, Conte is determined to unlock his versatility as the Spurs boss believes “he can play in any role.”
Conte told : “Harvey White played like a number nine, he is a young player that I think is really, really intelligent.
“He can play in any role and I think the young players also deserved to have a night like this, for the Academy of Tottenham. It was a positive night.”

TBR View:
Tottenham are currently fourth in the Premier League table.
Conte’s men weren’t great at all in the first half of the campaign, but the good thing for them is that they’re still in the Champions League places – above the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool.
If they can really step up now, they will surely finish in the top four again, which would be integral in keeping Conte at the helm beyond the end of his contract next summer.
Tottenham take on Brentford on Monday and we expect Conte to name a strong lineup. However, it will be interesting to see if White can get into the squad after impressing the Spurs boss.
