Anton Ferdinand says he’d love to bring £28m Aston Villa player to West Ham
West Ham United cult hero Anton Ferdinand has named Ollie Watkins as the Aston Villa player he’d most like to bring to the London Stadium.
Ferdinand was speaking on alongside the likes of Danny Murphy and FLEX about the Villans’ impressive season so far.
Both Villa and West Ham are doing well in both the Premier League and Europe this season.
Unai Emery’s Villans sit third in the top flight and are into the last 16 of the Europa Conference League.
Meanwhile, David Moyes’ Hammers are ninth in the Premier League and in the Europa League knockouts.
However, West Ham could certainly do with bolstering their attacking ranks with a new centre-forward or two.
Anton Ferdinand would love Aston Villa star Ollie Watkins at West Ham United
Villa haven’t got such worries, as they boast Watkins, one of the most in-form forwards in English football at present.
The man has 13 goals and eight assists from 23 outings in all competitions. Of those, eight and eight have come in the Premier League.
And when it came to the subject of picking a Villa player to hypothetically make the switch to West Ham, Ferdinand responded pretty swiftly.

“Ollie Watkins for me at West Ham,” said Ferdinand. “We need a striker.”
Under Emery, Villa are flying high and will fancy their chances of silverware this season. The Europa Conference League is certainly an achievable objective.
Meanwhile, West Ham will hope to build on last season’s triumph in that competition. And considering they’re still fighting on four fronts, they’ll fancy their chances too.
Villa are next in action away at Brentford in the league on Sunday, while the Hammers host Wolves on the same day.
