Anton Ferdinand criticises Oliver Skipp after Tottenham loss
Anton Ferdinand that he would be more aggrieved with Oliver Skipp than Harry Kane for the goal Tottenham Hotspur conceded against West Ham on Sunday.
The Hammers claimed an impressive 1-0 victory at the London Stadium. The goal came from Michail Antonio, as he poked home an Aaron Cresswell corner to break the deadlock.

In the wake of the goal, Kane came in for a lot of criticism. The Spurs striker was marking Antonio and was beaten much too easily by the West Ham man.
In fact, Kane appears to make little attempt to win the ball. He looks to be incredibly static.
However, Ferdinand suggested that he would be more annoyed with Skipp who missed the chance to head the ball away just before it fell to Antonio.

“Yeah I wouldn’t be happy,” , when asked about Kane. “But I’d be more aggrieved with the young boy, Skipp, who was at the front post. He should be heading that away. Harry can’t see the ball. I’m not defending him, he can’t see the ball. If Antonio can react that quick, so can Harry.
“You’re at that front post to do a job which is if that ball comes in your vicinity, you head it away.”
Form of Oliver Skipp has probably helped Tottenham starlet avoid criticism
Some may view Ferdinand’s comments as harsh. Skipp clearly makes an attempt to win the ball. Meanwhile, Kane barely moves while Antonio springs into life.
And in truth, it is surely fair to say that Skipp has probably earned the right to avoid the criticism.
The midfielder has been one of the success stories of Spurs’ season. He has been outstanding since finding himself in Nuno Espirito Santo’s plans.
Kane meanwhile, is yet to silence those who believe that he is struggling to move past any disappointment over not sealing a move away in the summer.
With that in mind, it is probably harder to watch Kane not move than it is to see Skipp attempt to win the header and miss the ball – regardless of who was actually at fault.
