Another Aston Villa player missing from training after Diego Carlos injury, he could be set to leave – Sky
Aston Villa defender Kortney Hause was missing from training today, amid speculation he might be about to leave the club.
“Steven Gerrard immediately after the (Everton) game at Goodison, refused to rule out whether there would be any more reinforcements at the back.
“And that’s because the other player (aside from Carlos) not here today is Kortney Hause, the centre-back.”
The 27-year-old defender has yet to be involved in a matchday squad this season, and had a small knee operation in the summer.
Hause is now expected to join Watford before the transfer window shuts, despite Diego Carlos now being a long-term absentee for Villa.

Hause missing from Aston Villa training
Hause ended up being fourth choice centre-back towards the end of last season, and was left out on the Aston Villa squad for the final 12 games of the campaign.
In fact, Gerrard preferred having youngster Josh Feeney – who could make his first team debut this month – in the squad over Hause at one point.
Aston Villa’s number 30 missed out on the club’s pre-season tour of Australia due to injury, : “We’ve got a fantastic medical facility there (at Bodymoor Heath). Hopefully he can join us in the coming weeks. We wish him a speedy recovery.”

However, as pre-season has progressed, Gerrard has clearly decided that he no longer requires the former England under-21 international, and is happy with the three centre-backs he currently has at his disposal.
Hause originally joined Villa on a six-month loan from Wolves in 2019, and helped the club return to the Premier League, where his deal was turned into a permanent one for £3m.
His new club, expected to be Watford, will be hoping he can once again return to the Championship and help the club return to the top flight.
