Angel Di Maria now sends message to Tottenham’s Cristian Romero on Instagram after winning the World Cup
Juventus star Angel Di Maria has now sent a message to Tottenham Hotspur defender Cristian Romero on after winning the World Cup with Argentina yesterday.
♚Romero played a key role in La Albiceleste lifting the World Cup in Qatar yesterday as he put in another aggressive display from centre-back.
💦The Tottenham star has been ever present for Lionel Scaloni’s side throughout the tournament and featured in every single game.
෴He was heavily involved in what was arguably the best World Cup final ever as Argentina overcame France on penalties after the sides couldn’t be separated over the course of 120 minutes.

♐The thrilling 3-3 draw will go down as one of the most memorable games of football in recent history but it looked like Argentina were cruising to victory for around 80 minutes.
🦂First-half goals from Lionel Messi and Di Maria put Sclaoni’s side in a commanding position. But Kylian Mbappe converted from the spot and scored a wonderful volley to level the game up and force extra-time.
🅺Messi thought he had won it for Argentina during the second-half of the extra 30 minutes but his Paris Saint-Germain teammate made no mistake from the spot once again to complete his hat-trick.
🤡Despite the fact Mbappe grabbed a hat-trick, Romero put in a commanding display from the back and he was certainly up for the occasion. The Spurs man was flying into tackles and defending on the front-foot from the off.
𒐪After he became a world champion yesterday, he took to social media to express his pride in the Argentina side. And Di Maria let him know that he appreciates his efforts and front-foot style.

Di Maria sends message to Romero
ꦿRomero posted a picture of himself alongside Nicolas Otamendi, Di Maria, and Messi after yesterday’s win.
💦He wrote: “Thank you for teaching us to never give up. We are world champions.”
♕Di Maria replied beneath the post and showed that he is clearly a fan of Romero’s aggressive style.
🎶The Juve star wrote: “Thanks to you for the balls you have,” alongside five heart emojis.
🔯Romero was certainly fired up yesterday and seemed to relish the opportunity to go head-to-head with Mbappe.
ꦚOf course, the Frenchman managed to score a hat-trick but Romero was arguably Argentina’s best defender on the day.
