Ange Postecoglou has shared what similar traits he’s already noticed in new Tottenham signings Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray.
The teenagers both played 45 minutes last night in Spurs’ 5-1 pre-season win against Hearts, with Postecoglou impressed with what he saw from Gray, as fellow youngster Mickey Moore lauded Bergvall for his performance.
With the teenagers arriving to north London this summer for big fees, there’s a real chance that Bergvall and Gray will play key roles for Tottenham in the upcoming season, with Postecoglou a fan of using youngsters if they prove to work in his system.
And the Australian manager has now shared what similarities he’s noticed between the duo.

Postecoglou says Bergvall and Gray have ‘the right attitude’ after 5-1 Tottenham win
Speaking to Tottenham’s official Twitter account after the game, Postecoglou highlighted how he has been impressed by Bergvall and Gray’s attitude since joining Spurs, with the pair impressing in Edinburgh last night.
Postecoglou said on Bergvall and Gray’s performance: “They are both really good kids. They have come in with the right attitude and very humble, really ambitious and want to make an impact. They are not here to ease there way in, they want to play. They have added a good energy to the group.”
Given how disjointed and unbalanced Tottenham’s midfield looked in patches last season, the arrivals of Bergvall and Gray have come at the right time for the north London side, who now have a real base to build from for the future.
And with Postecoglou impressed already with what he’s seen from the teenage duo, Tottenham could have two stars in the making in Bergvall and Gray, who could be key for Spurs in the upcoming season.

Tottenham could have their midfield for the next ten years already sorted
With Bergvall and Gray impressing with Pape Matar Sarr in the wings waiting tor return from injury, it’s safe to say that Tottenham have quite the midfield three in the works heading into the new season.
The north London side have done well in recent years to build up their youth ranks with Postecoglou now on the touchline, and there’s a real chance that Tottenham could have their midfield for the next ten years.
Indeed, Postecoglou and Tottenham have a clear plan for the future, and the likes of Bergvall and Gray making a good early impression is a promising sign for what’s to come in the next few seasons.
